I love the simple thoughts you read on fridge magnets and in Eilidh's "Cool Beans!" - I have several copies dotted around the house and on my desk and give them to friends as pressies.
One magnet type of thought I read recently is: "Youth looks ahead, old age looks back... and middle age looks tired!"
Not us tho' surely? Time to double up on vitamin quotients?
What are your favourites?

I am going to a friend's birthday party tonight and was looking for a blank card to write a few pertinent words (unlike most men who buy cards with lots of words so that they do not have to think of any..)
I have just scribed..."Don't eat health foods... you need all the preservatives you can get!"
Wonder how it will be received....

Oh as you can imagine I love fridge magnets and clever simple quotes that stick in my mind and make me smile over and over again...Glenda Jackson on acting... " If I have to cry... I think of my sex life... if I have to laugh... I think of my sex life!"

Love this new topic Jo-Jo.
One I read recently - "If I had to live my life again, I'd make the same mistakes... only sooner!"

One of my favourite fridge magnets says, "Life is too short to drink bad wine..." I think life to too short full stop so I go out each day and grab it by the neck and shake it all day till I am exhausted :)
Works for me :)

I like fridge magnets too and am gathering quite a collection - maybe recyling is a better word - friends come along, like what they read and take them home as a gift from me....
A couple of magnets I often read are:
"Organised people are just too lazy to look for things..." and "If you you can't be a good example, you'll have to be a terrible warning!"

We had house guests this weekend - Jen & Neil Sharp.
In the kitchen Jen was reading my substantial magnet collection.
Her favourite? "When I married Mr Right... I did not realise his middle name was always!"
Obviously I like it too!

My favourite fridge magnet at the moment is, "Live extravagantly. Life is not a dress rehearsal."

I've just been scrolling through the forum posts and having fun smiling at the diverse comments from all you clever and witty people!
Abi's comment on Topic - Being Gorgeous -  is about chocolate and here are my two favourite fridge magnets on that theme:
"Man cannot live my CHOCOLATE alone but woman can..."
And
"Love makes the world go round but chocolate makes the ride worthwhile..."

Seems you girls like fridge magnets then! Well fancy that! How's about "One in four people is unbalanced, Think of three friends, if they're OK... you're the one!"

I've been buying some magnets recently - two that really made me smile are:
"Friends are like flowers - they brighten your day."
"If at first you don't succeed try it your wife's way..."
This one really appealed and is sitting centre stage in my magnet collection.

One I quite like is a German saying: Der beste Tipp, wie Du jung bleibst : Anstaendig leben, langsam essen und ein falsches Alter angeben! Which means: The best hint how to stay young is: Live an honest life, eat slowly and never tell people how old you are!

Seems ages since I was on the forum. Life has been like a sandwich - full of interesting ingredients to keep me busy.
Favourite magnet of the moment for me, is actually one of a lovely sunset in Dubai which we bought at Christmas.
Now it is back to freezing temps and just happy thoughts to keep me warm.

Bought a great fridge magnet yesterday:
"Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them you're a mile away and you have their shoes... "

A good friend from our army days sent me these fun words - THANK YOU LIZ...
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we might as well dance ...

Don't wait for the world to come to your doorstep, go out and look for it you may get a nice surprise ...

Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile ...
